As you can see the alliance Walnut Acres had with the Stephenson Nursing Center Foundation was very unique and good for our county. That alliance was broken 4 years ago after several warnings, before the pandemic even, when it was obvious the Republican members of the Board only wanted to sell. They no longer make donations to the nursing home. They decided not to because the Board continued to push for a sale. As you can see from this listing of past donations this was a huge loss to our community.
